First meeting & first selfie
Nigel's recollection of events:
The first night we met was quite memorable. We met at a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner. When Michelle walked through the door, my first thought was "Thank God she's not a catfish!"
The entire time, she would just stare at me like I was being interrogated. I tried to make some jokes to break the ice but they weren't funny enough. Yet, we still somehow enjoyed ourselves and the night wasn't long enough for all the time we wanted to spend together chatting.
Michelle's recollection of events:
Nigel had combined two rose bouquets to create one giant one made up of different colours of roses! I thought it was quite sweet. Not a lot of guys get the lady flowers anymore.
He says I was just staring at him, but the reason is, when we would chat online, he had a lot to say on the voice notes and I always enjoyed listening to his voice, so I thought I would just let him speak his mind at our first date. I wanted to know if I'm talking to the same guy that I ended up liking via the phone calls and voice notes. Turns out it was the exact same chatter box I was crushing on!

Proposal (She said yes!)
Nigel's recollection of events:
I had the great idea of setting the stage for a grand proposal at the location of one of our wildlife excursions. In my head I pictured a quiet and scenic moment outdoors which we could cherish as the defining milestone in our relationship. But as anyone who knows nature will tell you, you can never predict what will happen. The grand proposal was cancelled due to a massive storm when we arrived and I had to improvise. As soon as the clouds cleared, we took a moment to capture our joy and got to mark our future with a beautiful moment.
